Welcome!
Visiting a church for the first time can be a little intimidating. People tend to worry about what to wear and what to say, whether or not they'll have to handle a snake ... and then there's the whole ohmagosh-what-if-they-make-me-stand-up-and-introduce-myself fear. Here's the deal: You can totally relax at Morning Star Church. We want to meet you wherever you are--spiritually, emotionally, relationally and just about any other "-ly" you can possibly imagine. We don't pressure or judge; we invite and encourage. For real.

Yeah, we really don't care what you wear. Wear jeans. Wear shorts. Wear jean shorts. You can even wear a tie if you feel like that's really necessary. Just pretty please leave the speedo at home.

We call 'em our "church family." We're not high-brow, pinched-face, hoity-toity types. We're just regular people like you. None of us is perfect. We mess up--sometimes big--regardless of our best intentions. We don't have all the answers ... and we're way open to questions. And not to brag, but we've been told we're pretty nice, too. Ya know, for what it's worth.

We prefer not to call 'em sermons because that feels too much like lecture ... and we figure you get enough of those from your spouse, your dentist, that kid down the street who was just made safety monitor at his school. Messages are different: They're shared with you, not preached at you. They're something you can take in and chew on without feeling defensive or ashamed. And, if as if that weren't enough, they also have meaning and relevance to your everyday life. Pretty sweet, huh?

Typically, our services last a little over an hour, and they're wrapped up and presented in a nice little package ... kinda like a worship sandwich, if you will. We have praise and worship as our bread, a meaningful message to fill the middle, and toppings like music, movie clips and drama that really enhance the flavor. (Who's hungry?)
We love kids, and there are about a gazillion of 'em running around here. Parents don't even have to bribe them to come. They like it. 'Cause they're not only playing and having fun, but they're also learning about God in the process. Imagine.

Yup, we like them, too. No, really! They're mad dope, yo. (Teenagers say that, don't they?) At any rate, our youth are pretty incredible.

No need to drop $5 at StarBreadCo to get your coffee on. We'll hook you up. (Unleaded offered, too.)

We've made recycling bins available behind the church building, and we invite you to go green (as long as it's not with envy).
