Care and Recovery

Prayer Ministry
We 100% believe that incredible things--miraculous things--happen when situations, relationships, and people are covered in prayer. In fact, one of the most important ways that we care for our church family is by staying in constant conversation with God--seeking His wisdom, asking for His intervention. If you'd like us to pray for you, please let us know. (And, no, you don't have to be a Morning Star member. In fact, even if you have no intention of ever even visiting MSC, we'd be honored to pray for you anyway.)

Job Support Group
This group offers networking opportunities, people resources, and practical "how to's" to those seeking new employment. For more information or to let us know of a job opening in your company, go the job support page.

Emotional Health
Morning Star offers several seminars throughout the year to support the emotional health of our church family and surrounding community.

Hospital Visitation
Our Hospital Visitation Team offers prayer and encouragement to MSC folks experiencing a hospital stay, to hospice patients, and to residents at Twin Oaks Nursing Home. If you're ever aware of someone who could benefit from this team's care, please contact us to let us know. If you'd like to be a part of this ministry, please contact Nancy Biehl.

Care Team
MSC has an incredible team of compassionate volunteers who provide meals for individuals and families in need of a little TLC. They love on families with new babies, individuals or families who’ve lost a loved one or had surgery, families of people on mission trips, and more! If you or someone you know would welcome a meal, please contact us. If you're interested in joining the team, shoot a line to Denise Ponte or Christy Wilson

Financial Assistance
MSC has limited funds available specifically for emergency utility payments. We also maintain a small food pantry at the church office.  Assistance is not necessarily limited to MSC members, but certain conditions apply to ensure that we meet the most urgent needs.  The vulnerability that comes with asking for help can feel uncomfortable or embarrassing. However, those who call Morning Star their church home realize the importance of community—of caring for one another in an atmosphere of Christian love, grace, and cheer. If there are practical ways that we can be of help to you or your family, please contact us.
