DeDe mentions that before coming to Morning Star in 2000, she didn't have a regular relationship with Christ. She and her husband of 15 years, Tod, moved to O'Fallon from Indianapolis, and, after an invitation from their neighbors, started attending regularly and volunteering in the Children's Ministry. DeDe has been involved in Women's Bible Studies, couples studies, retreats and much more. She has four children: Nick (23), Lauren (17), Jackson (5), and  baby Cade.

You’re on a cross-country road-trip. What three food items must come with you? Chocolate, gum, crackers.

Beach or mountains?  Beach.

What was your first car? 67 Mustang.

Gum or mints? Gum.
