Care and Recovery Seminars
Adolescent Depression and Suicide
Meets Wednesday, August 11 in the Auditorium.
Led by Marian McCord, President of Chad's Coalition. Marian McCord's son, Chad, committed suicide in 2004 shortly after she began educating teens and their parents about depression. Since that time, Marian has tirelessly been providing training about adolescent depression and suicide prevention through awareness, education, and research. She was recognized as the recipient of the 2009 National Eli Lilly Welcome Back Award for demonstrating outstanding courage and achievement in her community.

Raising the Strong-Willed Child
Meets Wednesday, August 18 in The Element.
Led by Mary Jo Price, LPC, Registered Children's Therapist. Mary Jo will share out of her extensive experience working with families on developing and parenting strong-willed children. These children can be on the biggest blessing--and one of the biggest challenges to parents. She'll be able to provide education about the normal developmental process of these children and how parents can assist God in providing the best environment for growth and responsibility in the lives of these kids.
