Job Support Group
Who's it for?
MSC's Job Support Group is available--for free--to anyone seeking assistance with his or her job search. Affiliation with MSC is absolutely not necessary to participate.
What is it?
The Job Support Group serves two primary functions:
- Help participants discover networking opportunities that may lead to employment. In today's job market, networking is the most effective--and in many causes only effective--means of getting someone to pay attention to your application.
- Offer practical how-to's such as creating a stand-out resume and interviewing for success, and helpful people-resources such as therapists and human resources experts.
When and where does it meet?
The group meets weekly on Thursdays, 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, in the Element (modular unit closest to main worship facility).
I'm not sure I'll fit in with this group.
Of course you will! The Job Support participants are a truly friendly group of people who encourage one another along the way. There's also a good, broad range of skills and experience, so you'll fit. Promise.
