Worship Arts Volunteer Opportunities
Try It

Worship Arts teams work in both technical and creative areas. Members of these teams have a passion for creating unique worship experiences.

Camera Crew
Camera operators serve as the eyes of congregation during weekend worship services and special events. Volunteers need a steady hand, a long attention span, and the ability to remain cool during live presentation.

Communion Team
Volunteers serve communion during weekend worship services (often the first weekend of each month).

Drama Team
The Drama Team enhances our worship services by performing three- to five-minute sketches (live or video-taped) centered around the message or series topic. Volunteers can serve as actors, writers, and/or directors.

Lighting Crew
The Lighting Crew uses creative lighting design to enhance the overall worship experience. Volunteers serve as board operators during weekend worship services and special events.

Media Production
With the Media Director’s supervision and guidance, media production volunteers can assist in creating and capturing video(s) for special events and worship service. Production may include generating concepts, planning and storyboarding, compiling and/or creating images and artwork for composition, creating PowerPoint presentations,  shooting photo and video,  video editing, and more.

Music Ministry
The Music Ministry uses the power and influence of music to reach people exactly where they are to help them reach up to God.  The music ministry holds auditions twice per year for skilled instrumentalists and vocalists.

Presentation Software Operation
Volunteers operate Presentation Software during worship services (song lyrics and message slides). This position requires attention to details, the ability to remain cool during a live service, and the ability to stay with the singer or speaker.

Props Team
The Props Team creates set pieces and props to be used as part of our worship services. These props are also used as part of live or videotaped performances or to enhance the message topic.

Sound Ministry
Our Sound Ministry supports the worship experience and special events through operation of the soundboard. Volunteers also burn message CDs for the resource center and upload files for podcasting.  It’s helpful for volunteers to have some knowledge of signal flow and sound technology, a passion for great-sounding music and audio, attention to detail, and strong focus.

Technical Direction
Volunteer Technical Directors work with the Media Director to coordinate the technical elements supporting worship services, serving as the go-to person for Presentation Software, Lighting, and Camera crews.
