Our Partner Organizations
Morning Star Resource Center works with other community organizations to help provide resources for our neighbors. We love to serve along side them, and they welcome our volunteers!
The Sharing Shed
The Sharing Shed works with other organizations, agencies, and churches to provide furniture for those transitioning into their own homes. This includes families that have experienced house fires and floods, displacement due to loss of employment, families fleeing abusive situations, recovering from homelessness, or dealing with other hardships. Furniture is also available for foster children that age out of the program, and children identified by local school counselors. The Sharing Shed strives to provide clients with a bed to sleep on, a sofa to sit on, and a table to eat from. Volunteers focus on sharing love and hope to those they are fortunate enough to serve. The Sharing Shed is “On mission with the community to meet the needs of those in crisis, together, for the glory of God.”
Our Morning Star Church team serves at the Sharing Shed every second Saturday of the month from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. There’s a wide range of ways you can help, no matter your skill set:
