At Morning Star, one of the things we say all the time is that “we are imperfect people helping other imperfect people connect to the perfect love of God.” So do we have to cross our fingers when we say the Apostles’ Creed: “I believe in… the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints…”? Are we “holy saints”? And why is a Protestant church affirming faith in “the holy catholic Church”?
